Gus is a big boy. Perhaps the biggest of our 2024 calves.  Gus is also a mama’s boy as you can see by the photo. His mom is always in the background. She is a great mom and teaches her calves well. They are always favorites in their herds. We have no doubt that Gus will be a favorite too.

Butch is like his mama in a number of ways. Perhaps our friendliest steer, he is a touchy, feely kinda guy. He loves to lick us as much as we love to pet him. Don’t be surprised if his color does not stay like it is now. You can already see the dusty shades coming through. Just like his mom and her mom before her, these calves start of light and as they mature, so does their coat. Butch will most likely be the color of his mom. As for his horns, his mom measures over 90″ from one tip to another. Butch will have impressive horns too.
